TUESDAY, May 13, 2008

         

7:30 a.m. – Commissioners Hotter and White will attend the La Plata Economic Action Partnership Board meeting in the La Plata Electric Association Conference Room at 45 Stewart Street, Durango.

 

9:00 a.m. – EXECUTIVE SESSION – Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute § 24-6-402 (4) upon the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the quorum present the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners will hold an executive session to discuss the following matters:

·        For purposes of the Board receiving legal advice on specific legal questions pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(b) pertaining to the litigation report.

·        For purposes of the Board determining positions relative to matters that may be subject to negotiations; developing strategy for negotiations; and instructing negotiators pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(e) pertaining to Regional Housing Authority negotiations. 

·        For purposes of the Board receiving legal advice on specific legal questions pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(b) pertaining to the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission rulemaking process.

·        For purposes of the Board receiving legal advice on specific legal questions pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(b) pertaining to Electra Lake.

 

 

10:00 a.m. – BUSINESS AGENDA: - The Board will consider:    

·        Routine administrative matters;

·        County Cash Requirements as prepared and posted by the Finance Department for the weeks of April 24, 2008 – May 14, 2008;

·        Submission of applications for 2008 Local Government Limited Gaming Impact Program;

·        The 2008 Human Services Transmittal #5 in the amount of $668,138.35;

·        An abatement for Lori Cole Trust, Parcel # 5677-024-00-008, Account # R008619 for the tax year 2007 in the amount of $1532.94;

·        An abatement for Durango Mall LLC, Parcel # 5667-324-00-069, Account # R016312 for the tax year 2007 in the amount of $4535.56;

·        An abatement for Face Canyon LLC, Parcel # 5903-291-00-458, Account # R429313 for the tax year 2007 in the amount of $1850.84;

·        An abatement for Theodore Weidemann Trust, Parcel # 5905-181-03-005, Account # R420520 for the tax year 2006 in the amount of $1,246.26;

·        An Intergovernmental Agreement for a shared use path along County Road 501 between the Town of Bayfield and La Plata County;

·        The combination of polling locations for the upcoming primary election;

·        The renewal of a hotel and restaurant liquor license for Kennebec Café;

·        The renewal of a hotel and restaurant liquor license for Sow’s Ear;

·        An increase in child care provider rates;

·        An increase in the eligibility guideline for the child care assistance program;

·        The approval for the Colorado Works Policy for Non-TANF (Temporary Aid for Needy Families) Maintenance of Effort  funding for participants who are not job ready;

·        The addition of a Senior Planner for the Community Development Department.

 

1:30 p.m. – WORK SESSION: The Board will meet with City of Durango’s Consultant, Michael Lauer to discuss Adequate Public Facilities Ordinances.

 

 

 

WEDNESDAY, May 14, 2008

           

8:30 a.m. – BOARD DISCUSSION TIME: The Board will meet among themselves to discuss various issues.

 

THURSDAY, May 15, 2008

 

9:00 a.m. – The Board will attend La Plata County’s New Employee Breakfast at the La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Avenue, Durango.

 

6:00 p.m. – The Board will attend the Children, Youth and Families Master Plan Community Presentation at the Smiley Building, 1309 East Third Avenue, Durango.

 

FRIDAY, May 16, 2008

 

No meetings scheduled the remainder of the week.
