FARMINGTON, N.M. – Those from the Oil & Gas industry seeking information on “going digital,” incorporating new technology to monitor and manage remote operational activities in “real time” via wireless high speed networks and through Unified Communications are invited to attend the first of a series of free Technology Forums, Wed., May 14, 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at San Juan College.
Entitled “The Digital Oil Field of the Future,” the forum is sponsored by Brainstorm Internet, and will feature experts from leading technology company Cisco presenting new developments in technology that affect all aspects of the Oil & Gas industry.
“These emerging technologies will change oil field management forever,” said Phil Bryson, chairman, Brainstorm Internet, the largest, local Internet service provider (ISP) in Western Colorado and Northern New Mexico. “Imagine being able to sit at the home office and monitor all levels of production and operations via computer in real time through an internal secure high speed network. Safety, efficiency, productivity. It’s exciting and it’s cutting edge, and it’s here now – all companies working in the Oil & Gas industry need to be aware of these new developments and understand how they are impacting the entire supply chain.”
The Technology Forum is free to industry personnel, and includes lunch, though reservations are required. Participants may choose to attend the morning (10:30 a.m. – Noon) or afternoon (1:00 -2:30) sessions, or both. To register or for further information, visit www.gobrainstorm.net/events/doff or e-mail Erin Cummins <erin@brainstormInternet.net> or call 505.326.1010x176
“Brainstorm will be sponsoring on-going, monthly educational Technology Forums, as well as more general Lunch and Learns to help people at all levels of technical knowledge and expertise remain aware of new technological developments affecting their personal and business productivity and success,” said Bryson, noting the first Lunch & Learn is scheduled for June 11 from 12-1pm at San Juan College. “In the busy world we find ourselves in, it’s very difficult to stay tuned to the different emerging technologies and how they might assist us in our day to day business. So we at Brainstorm Internet, thought we would help by offering focused, highly informational forums.”
The Digital Oil Field of the Future will be held in room 7103 of the Information Technology Building, at San Juan College, 4601 College Blvd. Farmington.
With 15,000 customers in the region, and growing rapidly in Farmington, Brainstorm Internet offers a complete line of business technology services and residential broadband plus VoIP. The company, founded in 1999, also takes pride in its commitment to local communities and excellent customer service.
