Animas Valley hosts music program “Huskies in Outer Space” May 12Animas Valley Elementary School’s third- and fourth-grade Husky Choir and orchestra will present the music program “Huskies in Outer Space” at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 12, at Animas Valley. Durango Academy plan presentation May 12Durango Academy has decided to adopt The Big Picture model to serve its current and future students. Sunnyside garage sale fund-raiser May 17Sunnyside Elementary School will host a garage sale on Saturday, May 17, to raise money for the Sunnyside childcare program. Community members may rent a space to sell their items for $20, or they may donate their items to Sunnyside to sell. All proceeds will benefit the Sunnyside childcare pilot program. Sunnyside GT students present water proposal to Suunyside Landscaping committeeThird-grade students in Jeb Holt’s gifted and talented program at Sunnyside Elementary School presented a water project proposal to the Sunnyside Landscaping Committee for a project based learning unit they were completing. The proposal included a project description to solve the watering problem of the second-grade garden with rainwater.
