Durango, CO – The Durango Police Department has sent a recorded message to residents in the Crestview area that Durango Police Officers are conducting a search of the Durango Mountain Park for a man who committed the bank robbery at the First National Bank of Durango, Albertson’s branch, located at 311 W. College Drive, at 11:41 a.m. today.
The suspect is described as male, possibly white, Native American or Hispanic, 5’2” to 5’8”, 140 to 190 pounds, with blonde salt and pepper facial hair. He was wearing a tan-colored baseball-style hat, blue-hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black shoes. The suspect was also wearing a black or blue common paisley design bandanna over his face, and mirrored sunglasses. He had a silver watch on his left hand and was carrying a black duffle or backpack style bag.
If anyone has any information on this suspect call the Durango Central Communications Center at 385-2900, Crime Stoppers at 247-1112 or Investigator Sean James at 375-4730.
