DURANGO, Colo. - After a year of sorting out all the details, Fort Lewis College has announced the completion of an exchange agreement with the Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts located in New York City, according to Dr. Rochelle Mann, interim dean of the FLC School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

“This agreement provides for an exchange of up to six students per semester, and it includes all programs including study abroad and internships,” said Mann. “I am thrilled that students at each institution will be able to pursue both curricular and extracurricular opportunities that would otherwise be unavailable to them, and I am particularly excited by the possibilities that exist in the areas of museum internships and Southwest studies. I encourage all FLC students in good standing to consider applying for this innovative program.”

The agreement would allow students from FLC and Eugene Lang College to study at the other institution for one or two semesters. In addition to taking advantage of programs not available at their home institution, students will have the opportunity to experience life in a very different environment.

Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts hosts some 900 students at its campus located in Manhattan. There students can study courses in everything from the arts to economics, religious studies to urban studies.

In contrast, Fort Lewis College, with more than 3,900 students is surrounded by one of the best outdoor environments for study of the sciences, as well as nearly 100 additional academic specialties available to students.
