Custom Division Resumes Operations Following Fire

Only two weeks after their building was completely destroyed by the 700 Main Avenue fire, Durango Embroidery & Print, the custom division of Half Price Tees, delivered 200 custom silk screened t-shirts to the Destination Imagination competition held March 8th at Miller Middle School.

"Our first concern following the fire was getting our custom operations back up and running as soon as possible", said Eric Kiesel, the company's owner. "We had customers to service." The company immediately established a temporary operations facility and ordered replacement embroidery and silk screening equipment. It took about a week to get the facility operational. "We're working on several custom jobs at this time", said Kiesel. "It's was a good decision to get up and running quickly because people keep ringing the bell."

The company is currently searching for a new downtown location to accommodate both its custom and retail operations until their previous location at 758 Main Avenue can be rebuilt. At this time, their retail operations remain closed. They are targeting a May 1st return to the downtown area. Durango Embroidery & Print can be reached at 970-259-4883 or through their website at www.durangoembroidery.com.
