Half Hour Locally Produced TV Program Celebrating a Quarter Century on the Air
Durango, Color., - This summer season, Inside Durango TV is celebrating 25 years on the air! Since May, 1983, Inside Durango TV has been Durango’s only independent and locally produced television show that airs on Durango’s local cable system. It was the first of its kind in the area and continues to provide entertaining and informative television to Durango and Southwest Colorado residents, tourists and others, with expansion to the web at www.durangotv.com.
Long-time owner and producer, Rich Fletcher, says his goal remains the same, to provide high-quality television that speaks to our area’s sensibilities.
 |
|
Rich Fletcher | “IDTV’s focus is about the lifestyles of Southwest Colorado and Durango”, says Mr. Fletcher. “…including, fun features on our history, activities, resources, events, and the people that live in Durango and Southwest Colorado.”
Originally targeting tourism, IDTV changed its focus in 1985 to appeal to locals as well. Mr. Fletcher credits IDTV’s 25 year success to local clients that support him by advertising on the show, and the many residents and tourists that continue to enjoy the program.
“We’re so fortunate to get to live here and I’m extremely honored to have the continued support that I do from my clients and viewers” says Mr. Fletcher. “Their feedback, ideas and support are the very reason IDTV continues to be successful– we reflect that local spirit.”
IDTV was originally created by Frank Hurt, Chris Lauterborn, John Polatti and Phil Roth who owned Group 4 Teleproductions. Two months into the show, Rich Fletcher joined as a producer. In 1984 Mr. Fletcher bought Group 4 and IDTV. Group 4 Teleproductions is now Animas Media, LLC. Recently, Mr. Fletcher expanded his team and ownership of Animas Media, LLC and IDTV to include John Trousdale who had his own video production company.
 |
|
John Trousdale
| “John is a great asset to Animas Media and Inside Durango TV”, says Mr. Fletcher. “He brings exciting young talent, ideas, creativity and leadership to the table. We like challenging ourselves to come up with better ideas, sponsor opportunities and productions. Working together as a team has made us push our game to a higher level.”
John Trousdale decided to merge his company with Animas Media, LLC because he says he sees great potential for the company and IDTV.
“There are not too many communities that can sustain this kind of local television programming for 25 years”, says Mr. Trousdale. “I’m extremely psyched for the opportunity to create a TV show as special as Durango and the people that live here.”
Animas Media, LLC and IDTV have also hired Forward Movement, LLC Marketing/PR/Communications (owned and operated by Louisa Drouet) to help with their marketing, sales and creative needs. Ms. Drouet has extensive experience in both television and marketing. Between Mr. Fletcher, Mr. Trousdale and Ms. Drouet—they have 60 plus years of combined experience in television production including videography and animation, directing, editing, documentary and on-air experience.
For more information about IDTV and Animas Media, LLC, please contact Rich Fletcher at 970-759-5609 or 970-247-8137 or email rich@durangotv.com.
IDTV is seen on Bresnan Cable Channel 15, Monday thru Friday at 7:00 – 9:00 a.m., daily at 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. and on the web at www.durangotv.com. |
