La Plata County Community Development Department will be accepting public comment regarding the proposed amendment to the La Plata County Land Use Code, Chapter 90 – Natural Resources. Chapter 90 outlines the County’s regulations regarding the development of oil and natural gas resources in La Plata County.
Citizens are welcomed and encouraged to submit comments, but all comments must be submitted in writing to the La Plata County Community Development Department, Attn: Oil & Gas Code Amendment, 1060 E. 2nd Avenue, Durango, CO 81301 or by email to planning@co.laplata.co.us no later than 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2008. The DRAFT Code is scheduled to be heard by the La Plata County Planning Commission on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. in the Anasazi Room at the La Plata County Courthouse, 1060 E 2nd Avenue, Durango.
