DURANGO, Colo. - Jeff Dupont has been named Fort Lewis College’s new Director of Recreational Services, and will officially begin his new position, Nov. 1, 2008.
“Jeff Dupont is an experienced director… with more than a decade of experience in recreational services,” says Vice President for Student Affairs Glenna Sexton. “His experience in this field, along with his enthusiasm for Fort Lewis College, will be beneficial to Recreational Services and to the college. We are very pleased to have Jeff Dupont at Fort Lewis College.“
The new position is a homecoming of sorts for Dupont as he served as FLC’s assistant director of Recreational Services from 2001-2003. He counts among his accomplishments, assisting with the opening of FLC’s award-winning Student Life Center. Dupont most recently served as Director of Campus Recreation at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
Dupont holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and a master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. He replaces former director, Jack Krider.
