On Saturday, September 13, 2008, from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Sky Ute Casino Conference Center on Highway 172 North, Ignacio, anyone who is interested may take part in the educational seminar to help military families in the Four Corners community. The program is sponsored by Armed Forces Support Coalition (AFSC), a Durango-based non-profit organization serving military families and veterans, and it will be presented by the Colorado Joint Family Support Assistance Program (JFSAP), which is based in Denver and is a Department of Defense initiative. Certificates of attendance will be available for participants. School Counselors and educators are encouraged to attend. If interested, please RSVP by September 1st. For more information, contact AFSC at 970-247-9186.
