In an effort to accommodate some anxious riders we have received special permission from law enforcement to add 20 more spaces via an on-line auction with a Durango website, www.durangodowntown.com. This auction is for registration slots in the 37th Iron Horse Bicycle Classic to be held May 24th 2008. There are 20 slots up for auction. Slots can either be for the Citizens Tour or Road Race categories to Silverton. The auction begins at 9am EDT on April 15, 2008 and ends at 5pm EDT May 1, 2008. Minimum starting bid price is $75. After the close of bidding on May 1, the top twenty (20) highest bids will be accepted. The registrations must be used by the person bidding, only one registration per person. No exceptions. Registrations are not transferable or refundable. The winning bidders will be contacted by the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic within 72 hours from the close of bidding. The winning bidders will then be charged via credit card for the bid amount, and entered into the IHBC database once payment is confirmed. The bidder who is confirmed must be the person who uses the registration in the event. Photo ID will be required at packet pickup May 23, 2008. All money generated from this auction will be donated to the Town Of Silverton, Colorado on behalf of the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic. The IHBC appreciates the long standing support given by Silverton, San Juan County, and it citizens over the past 37 years. Please read all disclaimers before placing your bid.
