Senator Ken Salazar’s staff to lead informational grant preparation workshop

DURANGO, Colo. – The staff of U.S. Senator Ken Salazar will be in Durango on Thurs., July 17 to lead a workshop in the “Ins and Outs” of securing a grant. 

The workshop, recommended for rural counties and municipalities, first-responders, small businesses, alternative energy entrepreneurs and economic development organizations, will be held in the Lyceum at the Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College, 1 to 4 p.m.  The workshop is free.

Workshop participants will gain an “in-depth understanding of the grant process," according Zane Cressler of Salazar’s staff.  

Presentations will include information regarding research, available grant programs and highlights of supporting agencies for those grants.
