The Great Pumpkin Patch Express now running at the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad

DURANGO, Colo. – The Great Pumpkin Patch Express is now boarding. The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad continues the its adventure to “the most sincere pumpkin patch” twice daily, Saturdays and Sundays through October 26.  

Onboard, passengers enjoy a reading of It’s a Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, and are greeted by Charlie Brown, Lucy and Snoopy upon arrival at the pumpkin patch. Hayrides, live musical entertainment, a hay bale maze, temporary tattoos, bounce houses and trick-or-treating are all a part of the 2.5 hour excursion, plus each child will select the perfect pumpkin to bring home. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes.

Pumpkin patch excursions are scheduled for October 11, 12, 18, 19, 25 and 26, 2008, with trains departing the Durango depot at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tickets are $21 for children and $29 for adults.
