Trails 2000 hosts a Trailwork Party Wednesday, May 28 at Durango Mountain Park (Test Track) from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Projects include new trail construction, installing drainages and cutting back brush from the trail corridor.
Directions: Camino del Rio to 9th Street, heading west. Turn right onto Roosa Avenue and take your first left at Avenida del Sol. Head up the road and go straight (west) past Manna Soup Kitchen into cul de sac at Elle Vita. Please sign in, grab a tool and meet us on the trail. All are welcome to attend. Please feel free to stop by after work to help out.
The Tour of Durango mountain bike and trail running event launch party will take place on Thursday, June 5 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Carvers Brewing Company. Sponsored by Alpine Bank, the Tour of Durango is a weekend long event held on October 11 and 12, 2008 to benefit Trails 2000 and the Conservation Corps. See the unveiling of the course and be one of the first to sign up on June 5th at Carvers.
The Trails 2000 Membership Picnic presented by First National Bank of Durango takes place Wednesday, June 11 at the Rec Center outdoor amphitheater from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. All renewing or new members receive a one-year Colorado Search and Rescue card. If you can volunteer to help with registration or set-up, please let us know.
