ZIA TAQUERIA: Locally Delicious

When you get a craving for fresh mex, nothing quite hits the spot like a bowl of yumminess at Zia Taqueria.  Start with lettuce filling the bottom of a deep, porcelain bowl. Add fresh beef, chicken, or veggies- when I say fresh, I mean fresh.  Zia is an excellent example of “being local.” They get their meat from James Ranch and Sunnyside Meat Co., both located right here in Durango. They get their produce from La Boca and R.A.S Farms. And- they get their beans from Adobe Milling in Dove Creek (not too far from Durango). “Eating locally grown food makes sense to us, and we support it!” says Tim Turner, owner of Zia Taqueria.

Back to the bowl, now add cilantro lime rice and black beans. Top with cheese, and both pico de gallo and medium salsa- they make those with fresh produce too. Now, garnish with Lime Cilantro Dressing and a handful of crunchy chips (also made in-house).

Stop the salivating …Go there now, if not now, go there soon! You’ll be glad you did.
